Due to COVID-19, it is expected that unfortunately no GOUDA CHEESE MARKET will take place this summer. As soon as more information is known about this, we will mention it here.

A Thursday morning in Gouda, somewhere between April and September. Soon you will hear the clapping of the cheese traders and farmers. And there they are: the famous Gouda cheese girls, surrounded by tourists. Cheese bricks come and go, pulled by horses. They stop just before the Goudse Waag. Cheese boys jump out and start unloading the cheeses while throwing it over. The GOUDA CHEESE MARKET is a spectacular historical and nostalgic scene. If you would like to visit the cheese market, make sure you are on time at the market.

There is also plenty to do in Gouda in the afternoon. For example, you can join a canal tour or walk with the Goudse Guides Gilde. Or do the Beer Wine-Cheese battle at the Museumhavencafé 't IJsselhuis and discover which combination tastes best.
