Gouda by Candlelight

One of the oldest festivals of lights in the Netherlands. In the evening, 1,500 candles are lit behind the windows of the historic Town Hall and thousands more behind the windows of downtown properties. There are also all kinds of activities, such as the winter fair, walks, concerts, shows and performances in the Gouda Theatre, museums, churches, and on the streets. The highlight is the lighting of the lights in the Christmas tree Gouda always receives as a gift from its Norwegian sister city Kongsberg. Visit www.goudabijkaarslicht.nl
