Who we are?

The Gouda Chamber Music Concerts Foundation was established by private initiative in 2018.

The occasion was the restoration of the almost 100-year-old Blüthner piano grand piano, which was used for chamber music concerts at home. Due to the original Aliquot patent system, the piano grand piano has an authentic, special warm sound and was loved by many composers.

To bring the special sound of the grand piano back to life, the Gouda Chamber Music Concerts Foundation together with Matthias Burghoff of "Klassiek voor U" searched for a place in Gouda for chamber music concerts where music, art, creation and culture bring people together.

The current board of the 175-year-old Sociëteit De Réunie on Oosthaven 17 shared the enthusiasm and made space available.

The Society De Réunie has a rich history of culture and conviviality. In the Society's historic hall, the wing comes into its own and the tradition can be continued in a homely atmosphere.

Matthias Burghoff of "Klassiek voor U" comes from a family of musicians and specialises in chamber music. "Klassiek voor U" performs chamber music at the highest level and has a wide network of internationally renowned top musicians.
