Every second weekend of September is Open Monumentendag across the Netherlands. Well-known and lesser-known monuments open their doors to the public free of charge.

In Gouda, Open Monumentendag is organised by the Stichting Open Monumentendag Gouda. The organisation is entirely run by volunteers. In 2023, Open Monumentendag will take place on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 September.
