Hollandsche IJssel - Always different

For those who want to explore the Hollandsche IJssel from the water, the boating map offers over 45 kilometres of boating pleasure. From the origin of the Hollandsche IJssel at Het Klaphek in IJsselstein to its mouth in the Nieuwe Maas at Stormpolder in Krimpen aan de IJssel, you can enjoy beautiful boating. If you prefer not to manoeuvre between commercial vessels, stay on the east side of the Waaiersluis lock. There it is nice and quiet and you will mainly find pleasure craft. There is plenty to see and do along both banks. The map points out places of interest along the route and lists mooring and overnight options. It also includes nice little walks (between 2 and 10 km) to stretch your legs on the spot.
